News – Eurovision Songwriting Camp in Latvia This August

I received an email asking me to promote the Second Eurovision Songwriting Camp this summer, taking place from 25 to 28 August.

This will be an intensive three-day creative camp aimed at producing songs for submission to “Supernova 2026”, as well as fostering collaboration between local and international music industry professionals.

The recording studio “Auss” is organising it.

And the organisers would love to welcome participants from across the Nordic region to join them in this creative collaboration.

The Nordic countries have consistently brought innovation and excellence to the Eurovision stage, and they believe songwriters and producers from the region would contribute invaluable talent and perspective to the camp.

The camp welcomes experienced songwriters, performers and producers, as well as emerging talents. The available spots are limited so there is a selection process.

“The atmosphere at the camp is creative, open and friendly, yet the work is quite intense – full days from morning until night. Participants are divided into teams of three: a singer, a songwriter and a producer – and the goal is to create a finished song within a single day,” say the organisers.

Last year’s camp already proved its success – three songs created during the camp were submitted to Latvia’s national Eurovision selection, including “Līgo” (The Ludvig), “Delusional” (Palú), and “Chemical” (Rūta Dūduma), all of which made it to the Supernova 2025 semi-finalist list.

This year’s camp is also expected to welcome international participants – in June, attendees came from Latvia, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Ireland, the UK and the USA.

This collaborative environment contributes significantly to the growth of the Baltic music scene and offers local artists valuable international experience and networking opportunities.

To apply or learn more, interested participants are invited to follow “Auss” studio on social media and visit the official website.
